Make Fried Pie in Five Minutes and Kickstart Your Day

I made these with cherry pie filling today and they were amazing. I couldn't believe that I had made them! If you like pie you should try this recipe I got from lifehacker.

Make Fried Pie in Five Minutes and Kickstart Your Day: "
Sometimes you'll hit a rough day and have trouble getting started on tasks. On those days, take five minutes to make some tasty pie and indulge in a sweet moment (and maybe take another 18 to organize your day).

Instructables user scoochmaroo (who previously showed us how to make Drumsticks at home) is sharing the quickest recipe for individual sized fried pies we've seen. All you need is:

  • Premade pie crust
  • One can filling of your choice
  • 1 1/2 cup oil (or enough to fry in)

Two of your five minutes will be spent rolling out the dough, cutting it, putting your filling in, and folding everything into mini-pie shapes. The remaining three are for frying the pies into golden, flaky treats.

Scoochmaroo notes that the pies will also keep well for a second day, but when they're this quick to make there's no reason to not make them fresh each day.

Head to Instructables for the details on this delicious recipe, and since you'll have plenty of time to spare, make sure to tell us about your favorite super quick treats.

  2. How can I comment when I haven't had the pie or the elephant ears?

  3. SoulMotor...They were funnel cakes not elephant ears.

D-D...I made some and put them in the refrigerator but they weren't nearly as good the following day. You'll have to make them fresh.

Comments make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, well unless they are mean comments, but you wouldn't do that would you?
